1. Services and agreement

These terms apply to the Video Game Tracker marketing website and ChatGPT plugin operated by Video Game Tracker. By continuing with sign-in or using these services, you agree to these terms. The iPhone app and App Store purchases remain subject to their separate applicable terms. The plugin is an independent VGT service, not a service operated by OpenAI or Google.

2. Accounts and eligibility

Public game discovery can be used without a VGT account. Saving and retrieving your personal library require Google sign-in and an authorized VGT connection. Use an account you own or are authorized to use, protect its access, and meet the age requirements for ChatGPT and your Google account. The plugin is not intended for children under 13. Contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Permissions and your library

You choose whether to authorize library access. Read permission lets ChatGPT retrieve your saved games; write permission lets it save games and change their statuses. Continued connection permission supports later use without signing in each time, subject to expiry and revocation. Review requests before approving changes. Your plugin library is separate from your iPhone library: automatic sync and import are not currently available. Play-session logging and progress insights are not part of the current plugin.

4. Acceptable use

Use the service lawfully. Do not try to access another person’s library, bypass authentication or rate limits, disrupt the service, exploit vulnerabilities, or use automated requests to overload it. You retain any rights you have in information you provide and permit us to process it as needed to perform your requests and operate the service. Game artwork and metadata remain the property of their respective owners; use of VGT does not transfer rights to that content.

5. Third-party services and accuracy

The service relies on ChatGPT/OpenAI, Google/Firebase, Heroku, and IGDB. Their applicable terms also govern your use of their services. Game descriptions, release information, and availability may be incomplete or change. ChatGPT can misunderstand requests or produce inaccurate statements; verify important information and check the returned tool results before relying on a claimed library change.

6. Availability and responsibility

We aim to provide a useful service, but cannot promise uninterrupted access, error-free results, or permanent availability of a feature or third-party connection. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the website and plugin are provided as available without additional warranties. Nothing in these terms excludes mandatory consumer rights or responsibility that cannot legally be excluded.

7. Disconnecting, deletion, and restrictions

You can disconnect VGT through ChatGPT’s plugin settings. Disconnecting does not itself delete your VGT account or library. Contact support to request account/library deletion or help revoking access; we may verify ownership before acting. We may restrict access to address abuse, security risks, or legal requirements. Information already returned to ChatGPT and data held by the iPhone app must be managed separately.
